Vertiges is a bespoke show for one particular working class neighborhood at a time, a walking show that crosses and transforms a neighbourhood with a team of amateur and professional actors and musicians.
Vertige(s) pays tribute to the vitality present in working-class neighborhoods, so often overlooked by those in power and misrepresented by the media.

This show is an urban journey, a demonstration, which highlights and celebrates all the grassroots actions that make life livable, and which so often go unnoticed: mutual aid, everyday collective actions and all the informal initiatives that maintain social ties and support the most vulnerable…

For us, these everyday initiatives are profound and radical ways of rising up against oppression and injustice.

Vertiges is also a streetparty, a celebration.

The contents and subject matter of this show are particular to each place but the framework to create the show uses specific tools for our work on the ground, original ways of meeting residents and organising from inside the community: in-situ performance, banquets and installations.

We use smaller creative projects throughout the duration of our residency in the neighborhood to allow us to structure our research, create regularity within the community, and interact with audiences beforehand.

These projects reveal our creative process and involve the wider community. The first challenge is to meet people, for us to understand each other and then find our place within the community.
In the second phase, we manifest our presence. Create new settings. Create stories.
